Ayurveda Living Weekend Retreat, Dec 6 – 8 2019

Immerse for a weekend into the healing, ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and it’s timeless solutions for modern day problems of the body, mind and soul.

This weekend is designed to give you time out from life to immerse in the timeless wisdom teachings of Ayurveda, to replenish body, mind and heart, and also to give you a practical understanding of Ayurveda that you can take home with you to implement in daily life for improved metabolism, health and well-being. Understanding your body and mind from an Ayurvedic perspective and learning the tools to support your individual physical and mental-emotional tendencies will empower you to leave the weekend, with all the means to restore and maintain a healthy and happy equilibrium on all levels of being.

The weekend includes both the theory and practice of Ayurveda teachings on health and well-being. And includes the following:

  • An introduction to Ayurveda; it’s history and it’s philosophy of life, the universe and our place in it.
  • Understanding your individual Ayuredic type and it’s implications for your metabolism
  • The doshas (humours) of Ayurveda and physical health and well-being.
  • The mahagunas (three main attributes of nature) of Yoga, and mental-emotional health and well-being.
  • Ayurvedic nutrition – eating through the seasons, times of life and for your Ayurvedic type: the 6 tastes and how to work with them.
  • Ayurvedic lifestyle – including dinacharya, the important balancing self-practices
  • Ayurvedic Yoga practices – asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra and inner enquiry.
  • The significance of ancestry, place of birth and environment.
  • Making the every day and ordinary, extraordinary and sacred

On this weekend immersion into Ayurveda, I will be sharing all I have learned over the past 10 years and more from leading figures in the world of Ayurveda and from my own personal application of the teachings into my daily life.
