What does the Radiant Mornings Programme Include?
POSTURE –You will be guided through Yoga asana (posture) practice which interweaves a broad-ranging approach to Yoga practice with the teachings of Ayurveda. This will help you to sustain not only a healthy musculature, but also health in the whole body and mind. You will feel a different kind of strength as we are working to harmonise, contain and expand your prana (life-force) in our approach to posture practice. The style and content of Yoga posture practice is adapted to the nature of each season and various lunar phases. At some times of year, the practice is more dynamic, with strengthening, cleansing and energising postures: at other times, the practice is slower and more grounding: and then at other times, we immerse into deeply nourishing and cooling practices.
BREATH –You will be regularly practicing age-old breathing techniques which boost your energy levels, peace of mind, immunity, digestion and stress-resilience. These practices can also help to reduce any mental disturbances, fatigue and insomnia you may tend towards, and to slow down the ageing process. And breathing practices too are selected for their capacity to support equilibrium in your body and mind through the changing seasons and the fluctuating influence of the various moon phases on body and mind.
RELAXATION – Daily relaxation practices, new and old, will help to release tensions and toxins that may have accumulated in your body and mind for your continued wellness. These practices will help you experience better mood, improved sleep, and a means to regularly release any pent up pressures and stresses you may be carrying. In darker colder months, the nature of the guided visualisations used during relaxation processes, will differ from those used during warmer, more active months. Seasonal adaptations are made for your maximum benefit.
MEDITATION AND ENQUIRY – The regular meditations on this programme will help to anchor you in a place within which is untouched by the everyday worries and pressures of life, a place which is beyond all doubt and fear, and where you find supreme peace and contentment. This is a very healing and transformational place to rest.
NUTRITION – The health-enhancing benefits you will experience from daily Ayurveda Yoga practice, will be complemented by ongoing nutritional guidance. Ayurveda teaches us to adapt our foods through according to nature’s rhythms: the seasons and their transitions, and the lunar cycles also.
